Filiform Warts on Face
Any type of facial warts can affect a person’s self confidence. You cannot hide facial warts like you can if they are on other parts of the body. Although they are mostly completely harmless people tend to be embarrassed by them. Filiform warts are caused when a person catches the HPV virus that causes warts. There are several different strains of the HPV virus that will cause several different types of warts on different parts of the body or face. The immune system is what will ultimately clear up any warts by ridding the body of the virus. The period of time that this can take however can vary from person to person and certainly is not within a matter of weeks. Some individuals who carry the virus will not show any physical systems.
Filiform warts on the face need to be treated gently as they are easily knocked or scratched due to their shape. This in turn can cause the wart to bleed or become irritated. You have more chance of passing the virus onto another part of your body or face if they irate you and you scratch them. If you have filiform warts on your face it would also be wise to use separate towels for face and body, this will stop you infecting other parts of the body with the virus. If you have a Filiform wart where you shave you would need to shave around the wart as you could accidently cut the wart which could then spread the virus to other parts of the face. Also never let other people share your personal hygiene equipment as the virus could be passed onto them this way.
